Professor Lawrence G. Baxter is the David T. Zhang Professor of the Practice of Law at Duke Law School, where he also directs the Global Financial Markets Center. He focuses his teaching and scholarly research on the evolving regulatory environment for financial services and beyond. Formerly an executive vice president and Chief eCommerce Officer at Wachovia Corporation, Baxter led the bank’s online financial services business.

Notable ventures include KYCK, Mountain Khakis and iSoccer Network. In addition, he served as a member of the Board of Directors for Lending Tree (NASDAQ: TREE) where he was Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Compensation and Executive Committee.
